Late summer positioning: the operators already thinking about October
The best operators on the Wasatch Front are building their fall calendars in August. Here's the four we're watching.
August is the transition month.
The operators who treated summer as an end goal are looking at September with uncertainty. The operators who used summer to build the relationships that generate fall work are heading into Q4 with confidence.
**Archer Mechanical** — SLC HVAC and plumbing — is pre-booking fall heating system inspections for September and October. The furnace inspection is the maintenance touchpoint that generates the replacement conversation in January. Archer is building those relationships now, before their competitors start thinking about fall. DOPL active.
**Leifson Built** — Lehi deck and basement — October basement project starts are available. The interior remodel work doesn't follow the exterior season, and Leifson's basement pipeline typically runs 90 days behind the deck pipeline. **Prime IV Hydration Sandy** — Sandy IV clinic — the Q4 immune support season is the second annual peak for the clinic. Recurring clients are scheduling September and October appointments in August. **Proper Brewing Co.** — 857 S Main, Salt Lake — fall tap lineup is set. The Tuesday night regulars who built through the summer will carry the same habit into fall. Proper's retention is structural, not seasonal.
